Yoni Wolf, along with bandmates Josiah Wolf, Doug McDiarmid, and Andrew Broder, recorded the upcoming album with Brian Joseph at Hive Studio in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. What sets this album apart is the stellar lineup of guest contributors, including Gia Margaret, Macie Stewart from Finom, Lala Lala’s Lillie West, Serengeti, and Ada Lea, adding their unique touch to the musical tapestry.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single ‘The Letters, Etc.’, Wolf shared, “This song reflects a culmination of experiences and emotions that finally found their way into the music. It’s a mix of introspection and acceptance, offering well wishes as one navigates the complexities of long-term estrangement.” The song’s message of love and resilience shines through, resonating with listeners on a deeper level.
Wolf delved into the album’s theme, revealing, “Creating a WHY? album is a reflective process for me—a chance to close a chapter and gain clarity on my emotions. Writing allows me to confront and process what lies within me.” This introspective approach to songwriting showcases Wolf’s growth and maturity as an artist, steering away from sentimentality and diving into a more nuanced expression of self.
