mui zyu is back with her latest single, ‘please be ok’, leading up to the much-anticipated release of her second album, nothing or something to die for. Set to drop this Friday through Father/Daughter, this track is the final preview before the big release. Fans have already been treated to a taste of what’s to come with earlier singles like ‘the mould’, ‘everything to die for’, ‘sparky’, and ‘the rules of what an earthling can be’. But ‘please be ok’ promises to be something truly special. Listen to it below and immerse yourself in mui zyu’s mesmerizing sounds.
Reflecting on the meaning behind ‘please be ok’, Eva Liu shares, “It can be supportive, judgemental, mediocre, passable, fine, good after bad, or bad after good. It’s pure absurdity, really.” The collaboration with Miss Grit adds an extra layer of magic to the song, making it even more exceptional. “When they said ‘ok’, I thought ‘ok, this is the best news’. They brought all sorts of magic to the song and production, making it extra special,” Liu adds.
