After a sensational performance at Coachella in April, Sublime has surprised fans with their first new song in almost three decades. Titled ‘Feel Like That,’ the track brings together the iconic voice of late frontman Bradley Nowell, his talented son Jakob, and Scott Woodruff from Stick Figure.
Jakob Nowell expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “This song came about in an organic way. Hearing my voice alongside my dad’s on a track feels like the classic Sublime sound evolving into the modern era. SoCal music runs in our family, and ‘Feel Like That’ captures this new sentiment perfectly. We hope this is just the beginning of many more collaborations to come.”
Drummer Bud Gaugh couldn’t contain his enthusiasm, exclaiming, “Good things come to those who wait, and boy, have we waited! ‘Feel Like That’ is the good stuff that makes you want to groove!”
Bassist Eric Wilson also shared his thoughts, noting, “It’s always a thrill to hear Bradley’s voice, but having Jake’s vocals on the track adds an extra layer of sweetness. It truly feels like a family affair.”
Scott Woodruff, who was inspired by Sublime to pursue music, reflected on the special moment, saying, “Being a part of this track is a full circle moment for me. From being inspired by Sublime to now collaborating with them, it’s a dream come true for me and fans alike.”
